A Couture for Cause Dinner Party in the Clouds
On our five-year anniversary, Couture for Cause hosted a fabulous dinner party on Manhattan’s Lower East Side, introducing the Couture 50 membership and celebrating the long-awaited return of in-person fundraising events.
New York’s fashion scene toasted the launch of the Couture 50 amidst panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner at a candle-lit table, where gorgeous floral bouquets with parrot tulips and peonies by Ivie Joy wowed the crowd. Personal boxes of MarieBelle chocolates adorned each guests place setting, wrapped in custom Couture for Cause ribbon, for a sweet treat.
Founder Mona Patel captivated attendees as she spoke about her childhood in India and the patriarchal pressure she experienced growing up, which motivated her to start Couture for Cause. Patel introduced the Couture 50, a membership community that supports the education and empowerment of girls in India and helps inspire young women to dream big.
Pencils of Promise

In 2018, Couture of Cause hosted a fundraising event in partnership with Armand de Brignac to benefit Pencils of Promise and bring quality education to children around the world.
Over 75 attendees gathered to raise $50,000 and positively impact 700 lives globally. Bridging the worlds of fashion and philanthropy, a grand 10-ft flower wall inspired by Christian Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2012 Couture show welcomed guests into the venue while couture outfits worn by iconic celebrities dotted the room in glass display cases. The evening closed with first class Cirque du Soleil-style entertainment to celebrate the incredible impact of the evening.
Couture for Cause collaborates and engages the fashion community to raise funds and awareness for organizations that advocate for girls around the world. Over the last two years, Couture for Cause has helped raise over $400,000 for leading organizations, such as Pencils of Promise, Rescue Foundation, and Flaviana Matata Foundation, positively impacting over 4,000 lives globally.
